TITLE CEO UK & Ireland and EEMEA
ORGANISATION DHL
It's been a roller coaster year for DHL in the UK: it kicked off with the container arm being sold to Maritime Transport and the Domestic Express business being offloaded to Home Delivery Network, which doesn't sound like a great start.
But, in contrast, the contract wins have rolled in for the Supply Chain business, notably snatching the Guinness contract from TOG, securing the British Gas smart-meter deal, being awarded the £75m BP Retail job, maintaining its relationship with Debenhams to the tune of a £113m contract, and emerging the winner from B&Q's distribution restructure.
Supply Chan, thanks to DHL's close relationship with Volvo, is triailing the first FE hybrid 18-tanner in the UK and continues to invest in Don-Bur Teardrop trailers. The ultimate authority on DHL in the UK is Graham Inglis, so he gets our vote here.
