SHOPS"I'EWA RDS representing 1.000 Co-op workers are to meet again to discuss their response to the company's plan to axe its final-salary pension scheme (CM k) February).
A spokesman for the T&G union says:"Shop stewards will be brought together to discuss the next steps with Ron Webb. T&G national secretary for transport."
Options include a ballot for industrial action. Webb had expressed si regarding the decision to c final-salary pension scheme ing that it seemed to "have foundations". He pointed o the Co-op scheme was not in and that the majority of the investments were in the tra ally more secure bonds mar' The final-salary scheme is close in April: Co-op emp will start paying into a `c average' scheme.
