• Irving Transport Services is setting up a new division in Newcastle to service fleet trucks up to 17 tonnes. It will be called Commercial Services and is scheduled to open on Saturday (1 February).
The company has maintained and serviced its own fleet for 10 years and says that it is now "passing on its expertise to the industry".
Irving says its charges will be substantially lower than main dealer networks.
