in its campaign against congestion charging, after Transport for London (TfL) agreed that logistics companies will now be eligible for the fleet scheme.
Originally, the fleet scheme only applied to vehicles where the operator is a registered keeper or which are hired or leased to them and used for their business; this would cover all retailers.
However, TfL has now agreed that logistics companies and organisation using an owner-driver fleet can register for an automated fleet account. The relationship manager for the account will be a representative from the organisation that operates the fleet, for instance Exel or Tarmac.
