si A Sheffield family narrowly escaped with their lives after a runaway truck ploughed into their car in an accident that police describe as like a "scene from a horror film".
Investigations are still continuing into the smash, which happened on Thursday 16 January, but are likely to focus on the brakes of the 17-tonne tipper.
The truck, operated by Leeds-based con tractors Murphy, careered down steep Duk Street in Sheffield smashing into cars, a phon box and a bus stop before coming to rest jus yards from the entrance to a primary schoi where children were waiting to be picked up b their parents.
One woman had to be cut free from th wreckage of a car, and a child was also hurl from another vehicle.
