Following the success of last year's inaugural million-pound sale, Protruck Auctions is to return to host another auction at Tip-ex 2014.
MD Charlie Wright says: "With more than Elm-worth of trucks and trailers sold in the inaugural year, we're pleased to announce that we have received confirmation of support from a number of blue-chip companies keen to benefit from the success of last year's event."
He has also tweaked the sale. "We will be starting at noon, a little later in the day, which allows visitors to take in a couple of hours at the show before bidding starts in earnest," he says. "Free transport will be running all day from
the Tip-ex/Tank-ex exhibition to the auction site, which is situated at the Great Yorkshire showground in Harrogate, a couple of miles from the International Conference Centre," he says.
Wright expects the sale to attract buyers of liquid and powder tanks of all ages; there will also be a vintage truck sale. "To celebrate the golden years of haulage,
we will be hosting a special vintage and veteran section in the auction, allowing owners of these old pieces the opportunity to find new homes for these bastions of our industry," he says.
