have garnered a strong rating for outstanding financial performance from expert analysts Plimsoll Publishing.
The categories, which the group has awarded the top 1,000 companies in the sector, include good (120 firms), mediocre (204 firms), caution (a further 204), and danger, a category that includes 194 companies 19% of the total. David Pattison, Plimsoll senior analyst, says it was no surprise to see the number in the danger list, but the company was pleased to see the 28% who have clearly prioritised efficiency and sustainable sales.
On average, the top performers increased sales by 6.6%; enjoy 4.4% profit margins; are operating debt free; and have improved efficiency to deliver £98,000 sales per staff member, as opposed to an average of £84,000.
