REED Corrugated Cases has entered into a contract with BRS Western for the supply of transport and distribution requirements. The deal involves BRS Western supplying 10 Mercedes tractive units and 18 trailers to be operated by BRS Western drivers from Reed's factory at Lydbrook, Gloucestershire.
Under the fleet management package, BRS Western undertakes complete charge of distribution of corrugated board and cases from the factory to destinations throughout the West Country and South Wales. The trailers were jointly designed by BRS Western and Reed in conjunction with Craven-Tasker to provide a low loading height. This unique requirement enables maximum volume and ease of loading of the product which is spacious rather than weighty.
Other companies who have contracts for fleet management by BRS Western include Habitat, Hoover and Bang and Olufsen.
