• Continuing overloading problems have led to the licence held by George Allinson (Transport) of Darlington being reduced by six months by North Eastern Deputy Licensing Authority George Smedley.
The company, involved in the movement of containers, holds an international licence for 70 vehicles and 180 trailers. It appeared at disciplinary proceedings in Billingham, following a warning when its licence was renewed at a public inquiry in September 1985.
