• Geest Transportation Ltd, part of Geest Industries Ltd of Spalding, is to make 44 drivers and yard men redundant by the end of this month. It is understood that the redundancies are the result of the final stage of the company's rationalization programme. So far seven men have opted for voluntary redundancy and the majority of the other men have already found alternative employment. The depots affected are at Spaldine and Boston.
