• The needs of disabled passengers, including luggage space, are being discussed with the bus industry, Mr John Peyton, Minister said in a written Commons reply.
He had been asked by Mr Caerwyn Roderick, Labour MP for Brechin and Radnor, to introduce legislation to ensure that the design of new buses allowed for capacity to carry an invalid wheelchair.
The Minister added that he had no information what proportion of Britishmade buses had such a provision.
