• Taska Tankers, formed by five ex-employees of Charles Roberts Engineering, has cornpleted its first Authorised Distributor Road Tanker. Mounted on a Scania chassis, the 19,000-litre five-compartment steel tanker has been ordered by Cusbar Transport in Dublin.
The tanker is fitted with Drum Engineering equipment including bottom loading and vapour recovery system with pneumatically operated delivery valves and locking arrangement. Fuel is off-loaded and metered by an Alpeco DMX meter and pump system via a Collins Youldon hosereel. Scully high-level cut-off equipment is also included.
The company expects to produce an aluminium alloy semitrailer petrol tanker but plans to continue its tank repair, remounting and conversion business.
