EXPORT TRADE ON THE UP GRADE.

.The Board of Trade returns for September show that the value of commercial vehicles, cars, chassis and accessories imported was £1.59,425, which is well below the figure of £236,032 for 1935, and compares with £203,498 for the corresponding month of 1934.

In the nine months ended September 30, 2,333 commercial vehicles were exported, their value being £740,756.

The export of commercial chassis once again showed a useful increase ; this year's total of 1,194 vehicles contrasts with 1,097 for September, 1935, the respective values being £206,910 and £151,587. In the nine months ended September last, 9,703 commercial chassis, having a value of £1,532,688, were exported.
