A WELSH truck driver told of his shock at seeing a vehicle approaching him in the wrong lane on the A477 seconds before a crash which resulted in the death of a retired farmer.
Paul Kingdom, from Pembroke Dock, told a Llanelli inquest into the death of Peter Batten on 10 May that there was nothing he could do to avoid the crash.
It was found at the inquest that Batten had been swerving over the road for several miles. He had been suffering from poor health and taking several types of medication.
Carmarthenshire coroner John Owen recorded a verdict of accidental death.
