Five documentary
TOMORROW (Friday 24 September) sees the start of Eddie Stobart: Trucks and Trailers, a new six-part series that airs on Channel Five at 8pm.
For 10 weeks, camera crews from documentary makers Princess Productions followed around 30 employees at the company at its depots in Appleton, Carlisle, Chelford, Crick, Corby, Newark and Warrington.
Its broadcast coincides with the 40th anniversary of the inception of Eddie Stobart and the company says it is designed to show the public what the modern world of road haulage is all about.
Stobart Group chief executive Andrew Tinkler says: "The series will really show the public how hard our staff work and the challenges they face on a daily basis to make deliveries in a safe and efficient manner. The Eddie Stobart business has been built upon customer care and the series will highlight the effort, high degree of planning and organisation involved in the business."
