• Currie Freight (Southern) has been acquired by Aim Distribution, which set the company up in a joint venture with Currie of Dumfries at the start of the year. It has been renamed Aim Freight Services.
The two groups will continue to work with each other, however. Currie is developing its UK and international haulage business while Aim, with warehousing in Kent and Lancashire and a cold store near Heathrow, will expand in specialist warehousing and distribution. Currie is opening an operation in Paris.
