• Burnley ownerdriver Mark Robin son received a for mal warning ab out maintenance after telling North Western LA Martin Albu he thought he had "pulled his socks up".
At a Manchester disciplinary inquiry the LA said Robinson had been granted a licence in March 1994. A prohibition notice was issued to his vehicle and when a vehicle examiner visited him in February and he found that no inspections had been made. Robinson said the mechanic had been responsible for taking the vehicle in for inspection. He had not taken it in and had put the money in his pocket.
Robinson said a list of defects on the June inspection records had not all been rectified as the mechanic had gone on holiday for two weeks. He had a back-log of work when he got back. A selfemployed mechanic was now doing the work.
The LA heard that Robinson had moved his operating centre without authority. Albu said Robinson had clearly not understood his responsibilities despite all the information he was given when his licence was granted.
