• Thansport firms need time to prepare for new proposals to ban older trucks from central London, the Freight Transport Association (FTA) has warned.
About 30 FTA members met Westminster officials this week to air their concerns about the Introduction of a lowemission zone. Under the proposals, trucks with pre-Euro-3 engines—with some exceptions—would be banned from London.
John Guttridge, FTA director for London and the south east, says: "We have to ensure members have time to adjust their fleets."
