RECORD BREAKING temperatures in July prompted a West Country company to invest in a pair of new Mitsubishi Fuso Canter trucks to meet soaring demand from its customers for bottled water.
Jon Roads, a spokesman for the western franchise branch of AquAid, reports that pressure placed upon it by consumers of bottled water reached "unprecedented levels", impelling it to take the plunge and buy the new vehicles.
Both of the 7.5-tonne Canter 7C14s wear AquAid's colours; the company donates 40p to Christian Aid for every 19-litre bottle of water sold.
