SALFORD VAN HIRE (SVH.) is buying 30 Ford Connect vans from Evans I lalshaw — the first time it has used the dealer to supply vehicles for its spot-hire fleet.
SVH chairman and owner Raffaello Bacci explains that the company has used the short wheelbase Ford Connects for contract-hire in the past,but not its spot-hire operation.
"We're putting our faith In Ford's range of lightweight. vehicles and we hope these vehicles will give us the same reliability that we came to expect from the Ford Transit 100 short-wheelbase range," he explains.
Trafford Park, Manchesterbased Evans Halshavv, part of the Pendragon Group, has provided vehicles for SVH for many years. It has also supplied a range of vehicles for Billa Waste, Manchester City Council, Lex Vehicle Leasing and for a variety of Ministry of Defence sites.
