TN written decisions the North Western Traffic Commissioners have granted backing to an application by Ken Shaw and Son Ltd. to run a stage service between Grasscroft and the Dobcross, Yorkshire, works of Hutchinson, Hollingworth and Co. Ltd. An application by the North Western Road Car Co. Ltd., and joint operators, to vary existing Ashton to Uppermill licences to serve the same works was refused.
In backing Shaw's application, the Commissioners imposed conditions limiting the service to works employees only and limiting stops within the North Western area to seven.
Glasgow Switches Service: Glasgow Corporation have been granted permission to transfer operation of its BishopbriggsRouken Glen service to W. Alexander and Sons Ltd. The terminal points are to be Colston and Rouken Glen and the timetable will be revised to suit the shortened route.
