An optical tachometer well suited to meeting the Abrasive Wheel Regulations, which were effective from April 1971, is now available from Grah.arn & White Instruments.
The model 20 optical tachometer with no electrical or mechanical coupling is claimed to offer improved safety, quick measurements, and no loading on the rotating wheel.
This portable battery-operated instrument offers nine switched speed ranges from 200-20,000 rpm for full scale reading.
