• Barrister Ian Fowler has been appointed deputy licensing authority for the eastern traffic area.
Fowler, a former mayor of Canterbury succeeds Charles Arnold-Baker, who is to re tire from his position as deputy Licensing Authority in October. Also retiring is Ronald Jackson, West Midlands and South Wales licensing authority and traffic commissioner. Jackson will be
staying on as deputy licensing authority in both areas.
He will be succeeded as LA by John Mervyn-Pugh; currently licensing authority and traffic commissioner for the eastern trafficarea.
