• Parcels firm ANC has taken over the control of five of its franchised depots.
ANC is not saying what went wrong at the depots, in Warrington, Abergele, Norwich, Leicester and Huntingdon, but says that the company will run the sites until suitable new franchisees can be found: Marketing manager John Gardner says ANC has already been approached by a number of interested companies.
