• Devon-based specialist builder Reynolds Boughton has won a E, 5m order with an Eastern European authority for airfield crash tender vehicles.
The deal follows Reynolds Boughton's acquisition of the design and manufacturing rights from former Gloucestershirebased manufacturer Fire Trucks, which went into receivership at the end of last year.
Fire Trucks manufactured the Marlin and Barracuda ACTs for which Reynolds Boughton designed and built the chassis.
Reynolds Boughton managing director Barrie Sparham says that the company is close to clinching another £5m worth of orders, 90% of which are destined for export.
