Club: a planned Christmas party was abandoned because of inclement weather. Two guests did turn up, but they were both male truckers who, according to LTC, had "struggled in the snow all the way from Ipswich".
The party has been rescheduled for 2 March and guests are requested to bring "your own trees, tinsel and fairy lights".
Meanwhile, organiser Ilona Richards is about to find fame as a "before and after" subject in Chat Magazine. "They give you the works," reports Ilona, "hair, make-up, dress . . . they had to do in a few hours what I have been trying to do for years." I'm sure Ilona is being altogether too modest.
