• The report for the year ended March 31 1970 of the Glasgow-based Scotcros Group, whose subsidiaries include A. C. Penman Ltd, the bodybuilder, and Penman Garages, shows a 6 per cent increase in pre-tax profits from £243,000 to £257,000 over the previous year. The chairman, Mr W. I. French, said new operating policies had been adopted, together with increased management teams, to provide for growth in 1970/71 and the years ahead. The Group now had a new look and vigorous management with high objectives. The outlook for the coming year was very encouraging.
