Ifeel I must write to question details of the McIntosh profile (CM 19-25 June).
The owner, Mr Manuel, claims a turnover of around .1:4m from three large vans, three panel vans and his warehouse. He also says he runs vans from about 18 months old. Can you respond to the following points: 1. I run what I consider to be a reasonably successful family removal company, established in 1920 by my grandfather, with a turnover of 1150,000 from two large vans, one panel van and a warehouse so I am very interested to know how to increase turnover to the McIntosh levels.
2. McIntosh's fleet contains a Bedford TN 1260, last manufactured around 1982, which seems out of place with the 18-month to twoyear purchasing policy,
1 am not particularly criticising your magazine or Mr Manuel, hut I would appreciate your comments, as I may be getting something awfully wrong!

7 No, you are not getting anything wrong, McIntosh's turnover is not 14m hut between L.350,000 and f450,000. The company believes that the "optimum" age to buy vehicles is between one year and 18 months—Ed.
