NATIONAL Travel (South East) has been granted, with conditions, an application to carry tour passengers free of charge on its express services to either Victoria Coach Station, or Drummer Street, Cambridge, for extended tour departures. In a joint statement issued by the Traffic Commissioners for the Metropolitan Traffic Area, Eastern Traffic Area and South Eastern Traffic Area, it was agreed that this would in no way jeopardise the operations of objectors Wallace Arnold, Sampson's Coaches, Norfolk Motor Services, Don's Coaches and Glenton Tours Limited.
The report explains there was nothing to stop these operators buying tickets for their own passengers to take them to central departure points themselves.
