• Sidcup-based horticultural wholesaler H Evans & Son is speeding up its delivery of bedding plants by using four specially built temperature-controlled vehicles.
Two Levland Daf F.A60-210 rigids have 8.4m bodies; an MAN 17272 with Ray Smith centreaxle drawbar trailer carries a pair of 6.8m units.
All four Schmitz Cargobull bodies use steel lined Ferroplast panels and have Transfrig undermount temperature controllers.
Deliveries to stores and garden centres are speeded up by having quarter-width offset doors in the trailer bulkhead, enabling roll cages to be pushed through into the truck body.
