Transport for London’s (TfL) Freight Journey Planner should be live as you read this. Developed by Pie, the planner will have additional functionality for Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme members but will be free to access by all. It will allow you to pinpoint delivery destinations taking into account height and width restrictions. Loading restrictions, road type and the ability to factor in temporary traffic orders and real-time delays due to congestion are also promised. Even better, it will remain in place after the Games. Take a look at www.tfl. gov.uk/gettingaround/london2012/21677.aspx Hauliers can also sign up for emails from TfL advising them of any likely disruption at freight@tfl. gov.uk, and there’s live traffic news at www.tfl.gov. uk/trafficnews
