LAURIE BARTRAM, 22, scooped the Driver of the Year Award at last week’s Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards ceremony in London.
At just 17, Bartram started working at her parent’s haulage business, Bartram Express, as an administrator.
Four years later, she passed her Class 1 (C+E), completed all the modules and became one of the youngest females in the country to get a full Drivers CPC and Drivers’ Qualifications Card. She now drives for QV Foods.
“Hopefully I can encourage more young women to be where I am today.
“I love everything about my job,” she told CM. For the full results of the Everywoman Awards, go to www.motortransport.co.uk
