FAGAN & WHALLEY has opened a new hub in Coventry after receiving a £1.5m finance package from Yorkshire Bank.
The Lancashire haulier has purchased premises on a four-acre site near Coventry City Football Club’s Ricoh Arena, which will allow it to better serve customers in the Midlands and the South.
Fagan & Whalley, which has its head office on the Shuttleworth Mead Business Park in Padiham, near Burnley, employs 240 people, and operates 140 vehicles as well as 300 trailers. Its new Midlands hub has the capacity to hold 60 LGVs and will create jobs for drivers and operations staff.
Commercial director Stephen Fagan says: “Our customer base in the Midlands and the South continues to increase. To continue to provide the high levels of customer service we are known for, increased capacity and flexibility was required in our operation.
“The funding provided by Yorkshire Bank has been integral to our plans to buy this new transport hub.”
