BASINGSTOKE HAULIER L Hunt & Sons has teamed up with The Mid Hants Railway Watercress Line to promote the local tourist attraction on one of its trailers.
It is the first time the family-run general haulage firm, which specialises in groupage, pallet, ADR and unusual load distribution, has carried any advertising on its vehicles, which the company says has helped to open a new revenue stream. The Watercress Line says the railway made a financial contribution to one of L Hunt’s trailers that needed an overhaul, which will carry the livery for the next six years.
L Hunt & Sons MD Derrick Hunt says: “The trailer certainly has curb appeal, drawing attention not only to the railway but to us as well. It will generate more interest in our firm as a result, instead of running our normal company branding.”
