• Scottish LA Michael Betts has warned Western Isles Timber Company of the Isle of Lewis that it is only allowed to park vehicles at premises in Sand Street, Stornoway, while they are undergoing maintenance.

• Mark Williams, trading as Prompt Transport of Bristol, has had his licence for 22 trucks and eight trailers cut to expire at the end of next October.
Henderson warned
• Scottish LA Michael Betts gave Henderson Haulage of Glasgow a formal warning about future maintenance standards, when he renewed the company's licence for six mucks and 10 trailers.
Short term
• The duration of the licence held by Michael Chapman, who trades as mei' of Ludworth in County Durham, has been cut to expire at the end of July 1997. Chapman was warned about maintenance standards and VED convictions and required to produce up-todate accounts.
