BOTH SIDES in the battle to win bus passengers on the Edinburgh to Glasgow express route have expressed satisfaction with their share of the market.
Eastern Scottish, which slashed its fares when Stagecoach of Perth arrived on the MB service this month (CM, September 10) said it was as busy as ever.
Stagecoach reported it was very pleased with passenger figures. Once or twice during peak travelling periods it had provided a back-up.
"I don't think we have taken much business away from Eastern Scottish," said Brian Soutar, managing director of the Perthbased company. "If anything, we have probably increased Eastern Scottish's business.
