Married to the job
any couples slope off to Gretna Green with the romantic hope of getting hitched without the help or hindrance of relatives or friends. There was fat chance of this for Steven Begley and Anita Rajput, for all their loved ones are hauliers, so distance and transport is no problem. The groom works for WH Bowker, Preston, the bride for G Reyner, Droylsdon, the bridesmaid was Mrs. Eleanor Calicott who works for Palletline, Coventry, and the groom's mum Hilary is a driver for Hesketh Transport as well as being a bit handy with a needle, for it was she who made the bride's dress. Other firms represented were; Lynx, Dennison, WH Packham, Fry Transport, Montgomerys, and Roadferry Transport. They could have killed two birds with one stone and held a haulage conference as well. On the other hand this might not have gone down too well with the blushing bride.
