ZENITH LOGISTICS Services (UK) has been granted its irst licence in Scotland with authorisation to operate 12 vehicles and 12 trailers out of an Airdrie operating centre.

The new licence north of the border makes it the sixth in the UK for the Chepstow-based company, which purchased the business and assets of Zenith Logistics in a pre-pack sale after the latter went into administration in December 2010. Zenith Logistics also has licences for centres in Wigan, Northants, Selby, Havant and Chepstow.

Director Paul Southern says the new centre in Chapelhall, Airdrie will help service the blue chip customers it currently works with.

The company recently became Pall-Ex’s latest member, covering postcodes in Newport and Gloucestershire and expanding its network coverage (CM 23 June 2011).
