• A North American company is hoping to interest the European market in an advanced off-the-shelf diesel engine diagnostics tool.
Unlike the Detroit Diesel ProLink which needs applicationspecific software (and is therefore more expensive for the end user) Ultra-Link is designed to be compatible with all electroni
cally controlled Cl engines which incorporate the SAE J1708 and J1939 protocol.
As a plug-in and hand-held tool the Ultra-Link is designed to monitor all critical EC module (ECM) functions. It is said to be aimed at those operators who prefer to buy from independent market suppliers.
