• Scania will launch its bonneted variant of the 4-Series truck range at the Hanover show in September (CM 1117 July).
Based on the forward-control cab, the T-Series will share its driveline options with the other 4-Series models. With the engine moved forward the cab has a flat floor throughout, offering more interior space.
Left and right-hand-drive variants will be available so it could be offered in the UK for the first time.
lf there is sufficient demand, the T-Series could he offered as a heavy haulage model next spring arid in other versions in October 1997.
Scania anticipates demand from the construction sector where it could find favour as a tipper or mixer chassis.
The biggest market for the TSeries is Brazil where it accounts for 90% of heavy truck sales.
