• The Leeds and District Road Transport Training Association was officially opened by the Chief Constable of Leeds, Mr James Angus, on Tuesday.
The Association consists of 17. companies employing a combined staff of 700 and will provide training for drivers to hgv licence standard. It is the first group of its kind to be opened in Leeds.
Training of 16 drivers a month up to DoE standards is anticipated.
