by driving a four-wheeler 16-ton gvw. I would also like to obtain a licence to drive a 20-ton gvw six-wheeler. Have I got to take a test for this and if so, and! happen to fail, do I still keep my four-wheeler licence?
A You will have to take an hgv driving test
on a six-wheel vehicle if you want to obtain a Class 2 licence but if you should happen to fail this test it will have no effect on your existing licence. The test is only for the purposes of considering your ability to drive the heavier vehicle.
