A four-page leaflet Es available from GKIN Farr Filtration Ltd describing and illustrating its Autopamic two-stage air cleaner for protecting engines and compressors under the most severe dusty or wet conditions and for reducing maintenance requirements. It claims that the Autopamic has an initial intake pressure loss of less than a half of other similarly rated heavyduty two-gtage oil-bath or dry-type cleaners and that its filter cartridges provides over 100 per cent more effective filtering area than comparably sized competitive units.
The first stage of the Autopamic removes over 85 per cent of all dirt and moisture entering the cleaner, is selfcleaning and needs no scheduled attention. The second stage, an integral filter cartridge assembly and seal, can trap particles down to a 1 micron in size.
This combination of precleaning and large filter area mmimizes the degree and frequency of servicing and, therefore, maintenance costs. A "Maintenance Comparison Chart" compares the Autopam ic's requirements with other types of commonly used air cleaners.
