A floor-pull system for straightening damaged van bodies and frames has been announced by the bodyshop division of Stenor Ltd.
Primarily designed for economic use by small-and medium-size body shops, it is also said to be suited for workshops where ;there is inadequate floor space, The "power post" is not a permanent installation; it is a compact unit weighing 158Ib which can be stored in less than 3 sq ft of floor space. Capacity of the power post is up to 20 tons of pull at three different speeds , from all heights. Speed and power can be changed under full load.
With the kit there are 14 "ty downs" for anchoring the post to a concrete floor. The "ty downs" are countersunk to lie flush with the floor when not in use. Also included in the kit is a complete set of accessories necessary for most straightening jobs likely to be encountered in a body repair shop.
