/ The Road Haulage Association is urging London boroughs to ditch the capital's lorry ban because it is a waste of money and simply doesn't work.
It says a study by the London Borough of Hillingdon, which decided to pull out of the scheme in January, showed the ban had not reduced goods vehicle traffic, but enforcement was costing Hillingdon £40,000 a year.
