• South Wales Licensing Authority John Mervyn Pugh has adjourned Damdale Enterprises bid for a new international licence because of pending prosecutions.
The Cardiff-based company had applied for a licence for five vehicles and 10 trailers.
Director Robert Salmoni was previously involved with HaulTec, whose licence was revoked in January.
For Damdale, Jeffrey Jones said that after a driver had been fined for tachograph offences by Cardiff Magistrates.
Salmoni was interviewed by the police and charges were pending, including allegations of unauthorised use in circumstances where both the vehicle and driver had been hired out by Salmoni.
Warning the company that its repute could be in doubt if the alleged offences were proved, Mervyn Pugh allowed its current interim authority to continue.
