• A decision by the South Eastern Traffic Commissioners .to allow J. B. Fisher, trading as Percival's Motors (Oxford) Ltd, to continue an express service between Cumnor Village and Matthew Arnold School, Botley, during the winter and spring terms until Easter 1974 has been upheld by the Secretary of State for the Environment.
In his written decision this week, the Inspector, Mr D. H. Crofton, said that while he accepted the appellants' claim that Percival's service must detract from their own, he noted that the appellants had not sought to operate past the school until 1970 and had not commenced their service until after Percival's had obtained their licence.
Percival's Motors were evidently operating to the satisfaction of the school and the parents and also on an economic basis, he said.
