Dundee ferry starts
THE TWICE-weekly Dundee-Rotterdam roll-on/roll-off ferry service — Scotland's only ro/ro link to the Continent — starts next weekend.
Dundee Ferries, a consortium of the Bibby Line, the Dundee Port Authority and the Dundee and London Investment Trust, starts on June 1 with two crossings in each direction each week.
A second ship will operatc from September 1, increasing the frequency to four times z week.

Ford's t37m profit
FORD of Britain made £37m profit last year after losing £103m in 1983, but the company does not disclose separate figures for its commercial vehicle business.
Turnover increased fron 1983's 1:3.6bn to t'3.8bn, ; rise of 4.7 per cent. It made £14m operating loss last year Production of commerci; vehicles fell from 96,852 i 1983 to 94,211, and expo] production fell from 24,562 t 19,894.
Overall production of corr mercials, cars and agricultur; tractors and tractor compe nent packs totalled 428,236.
