in the 1960s are going on the road again with Midlands haulier John Davies of A R Davies of Kingswinford.
When Davies bought the four British beauties they had been languishing in a shed for 15 years. He worked for the firm which owned the 6x4 trucks and tried numerous times to buy . them before his persistence paid off.
"I couldn't miss such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." says Davies. "I think! got a bargain for the body specification, which today would cost over ,U,000.."
The four 22-tonners are being uprated to 21 tonnes by Le.x: Tillotson 's special products division at Halesowen.
