+ Always direct the heat towards the target area; never directly onto it.
t. The heat in the aluminium should be enough to keep the rod molten for at least six seconds, or up to 15 seconds on large castings.
+ When joining thick and thin pieces, apply most of the heat to the larger piece.
4, Never apply the flame directly to the rod.
+ Withdraw the flame from the join when checking the temperature of the aluminium.
